together with herbert, a friend of mine, i travelled for 13 months through africa. we crossed the sahara, drove along the west coast to cameroon, across the central saharan countires to east africa and from there along the great lakes to south africa and namibia.

here i put together the emails that we sent to families and friends and added some pictures. in those messages i wrote down some of the interesting and funny stories that happend on our journey. it is only a collection of the more memorable moments. africa is still a place full of adventure, beauty and magic - and it isn't possible to capture them in words. you need to go and look for yourself.

when i wrote them down we were already 4 weeks in chad waiting for a visa for sudan and it took another 2 weeks before we got it.
